A two-player mode is available, and in some versions both characters are capable of damaging each other. The game features a health system by which the player loses health over a period of time, apart from during boss battles. The objective of the game is to rescue a group of women who were kidnapped by a rival tribe of cavemen. The game stars the green-haired Joe and the blue-haired Mac, cavemen who battle through numerous prehistoric levels using weapons such as boomerangs, bones, fire, flints, electricity, stone wheels, and clubs. It was later adapted for the Super NES, Mega Drive/Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, Amiga, Zeebo, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Joe & Mac, also known as Caveman Ninja and Caveman Ninja: Joe & Mac, is a 1991 platform game released for arcades by Data East. Hiroaki Yoshida, Seiichi Hamada, Takafumi Miura. Makoto Kikuchi, Mitsutoshi Sato, Makoto Kawamura. This game can be played also in a versions for NES, Game Boy, SNES and DOS. It is another emulator for Sega Genesis for Intel Mac users who runs Mac OS C. Other than this, the MacGens is not able to work on other systems anymore. It requires an X11 system to run on Mac OS X. However, it was not able to emulate the Sega 32x. Though its production is now discontinued, the MacGens is an emulator of the Sega Genesis and Sega CD. Like the Generator, it is also a creation of Bannister and needs an Emulator Enhancer for added features. It runs on Mac OS 10.4 and is a universal binary.
It is one of the best emulators of Sega Genesis in Mac and provides superb emulation for the platform.
